My Training
The production school
Learning by doing
Saint Éloi is not a school like any other: it is a production school. Here, two-thirds of the time is spent at the bench, tools in hand. You don’t learn the craft from books, you learn it by doing, on real pieces, held to the standards of a working atelier.
This hands-on approach has proven itself: the school is a certified production school, with an exam pass rate above 90%. A training that combines technical skill with real confidence, and prepares students to step straight into workshop life.
Real orders
Trained on genuine orders
Beyond training exercises, the programme included real subcontracted orders, entrusted to the workshop by jewellery houses. These were pieces destined for actual clients, with the level of execution and finish that real orders demand. It taught me early on that for real orders, there is no room for crafting errors.
The jewellery houses are not named here, and that is deliberate: confidentiality binds a workshop to its clients, and knowing how to keep it confidential is part of the craft. It is the first thing expected of a good professional.
My qualifications
Two diplomas, two trades (3 years)
Professional aptitude certificate (C.A.P on my diploma) in the Art and Techniques of Jewellery, Polishing Option, obtained in 2025, after two years of training.
Professional aptitude certificate (C.A.P on my diploma) in the Art and Techniques of Jewellery, Stone-Setting Option, obtained in 2026, in one year.
A rare dual-skill training: I master both the finishing of the piece and the setting of gemstones.
